When we first reviewed Air Arabia we found that a single airline-wide age or height rule would be unsafe. Its published criteria differ between operating companies and bases. On 14 September 2026 we replaced our first profile with an operation-specific one. This note explains what that means, without promising anything about vacancies.
What we verified
We have verified two operations from Air Arabia’s own careers pages:
- UAE (Sharjah and Abu Dhabi).
- Dammam, KSA.
For anything else, such as another base or another Air Arabia operating company, we cannot tell you the criteria, and our page says the answer needs verification rather than guessing.
Where the criteria differ
- Minimum age: 20 for both verified operations.
- Upper age limit: it depends on the operation and on whether you have previous cabin-crew experience. For the UAE operation we recorded 26 without prior cabin-crew experience and 33 with it. For Dammam we recorded 29 and 33.
- Minimum height: it depends on the operation and on the applicable standard. For the UAE operation we recorded 160 cm and 168 cm for the two published standards. For Dammam we recorded 160 cm and 170 cm.
What does not change
Across the operations we verified, Air Arabia also lists Higher Secondary education or a diploma, fluent written and spoken English, no visible tattoos or marks in cabin-crew uniform and the ability to swim with the aid of a flotation device. It requires weight proportionate to age and height, and medical and physical fitness, which no online tool can certify.
What this means for you
- Find out which Air Arabia operation or entity you are applying to before anything else.
- Read that operation’s criteria on the airline’s own page; they are the authority.
- Use the Air Arabia page for the dated table, and the free diagnosis, which asks which operation you mean.
Nothing here tells you whether Air Arabia is recruiting now. Skywing does not track vacancies or recruitment events.
